Dental Lab Technician I -Crown & Bridge Model
National Dentex (NDX) is a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 30 labs throughout the country. As we continue to grow, we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization and are currently looking to hire a Dental Lab Technician - Crown & Bridge Model.
The hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
Place completed computer work cards on proper case pans, reviewing doctor, product and finish date information for correctness
Disinfect all case components using the appropriate disinfection procedure
Pour models from impressions received from doctors in the proper material
Number all models and impressions with case number
Pindex models and place pins in dies
Saw out dies using proper technique to make dies removable for fabrication
Place models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique
Articulate models by using bites sent by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite relationship
Paint dies with proper number of coats of die paint
Trim dies to reveal margins of crowns
Check case for correct doctor information, finish date, product, metal type, and fabrication questions that need to be called on the next day
Clean work area daily
Must be able to make a soft tissue model
Must be able to make duralay matrix
Must be able to seat partials
All other duties as assigned.
Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
No experience required - will train
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
Bard Parker Knives
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
